The Photography: A World of Animals in New Moroxico #4
Dallas, Texas

Things Start Looking Up
After getting sober in July of 2020, my photography, my career, and my overall life became much more focused. For this I am eternally grateful, as beforehand it was a rather chaotic blur and building New Moroxico would have never been possible.

My Lion Pride
From the very beginning, three driving forces have been at play in my design of the interior: I wanted featured places within New Moroxico to hang my photography, I wanted enough space and light to continue to create new photography, but moreover, I longed to design a very unique and editorial house that was itself begging to be photographed.

All professional pride and ego aside, I think my specific brand of photography contributes a great deal to the success of New Moroxico — if not for the very simple fact that the presence of WILD ANIMALS and EXOTIC INTERNATIONAL VISTAS completes the look and ambience I was trying to achieve in an unparalleled, irreplaceable way.

It was bound to happen, but presently my biggest irritation about this entire house is that there is sadly no more free wall space anywhere in all of New Moroxico!
But no worries — who’s ready to hear my ideas for New Thailatexanita?! Istanbullshitico?
Anyone?

Into Africa
Year after year, I return to Africa to spend time photographing the extraordinary people and animals and to revel in a lifestyle and culture that is so different from my own. Ever since I was five years old — surrounded by my stuffed animals, reading National Geographic and holding my first tribal spear and mask — it has been my lifelong dream to MAKE AFRICA MY HOME.

For better or for worse, life had other plans for me. So I guess you could say, in a way, New Moroxico is my way of making my HOME FEEL LIKE AFRICA instead.
